The VRI Regional Centres of Bendigo, Ballarat and Geelong house Billiards and Snooker clubs and competitions - current VRI and new members always welcome!
The VRI Billiards and Snooker (roaming) Club Play in the annual ARI Billiards and Snooker Competition.
Teams are made up from Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania/South Australia playing off for the Team Trophy, and other Individual awards. The VRI Club Secretary, has a great history at this event, winning the Individual Billiards Championship over 25 times.The Competitions are fiercely fought, where old friendships are renewed, and new ones made each year.

The winner of the 2020 Competition held at The Bentleigh Club was NSW with overall score of 32 points.
Runner up QLD 31 points.
Third VIC 27 points.
Fourth AN 16 points.

A great week was had by all and I take this opportunity to thank the VRI for the support shown to the interstate group. Manager Katherine for her support in general and presence at the official opening. President Dave & Partner for attending the presentation farewell dinner. And last but not least THE BENTLEIGH CLUB for the service and courtesy show to all.

"Ian Gilbee, has been a Billiards and Snooker player for many years, and involved with the VRI Billiards and Snooker Club, and the Australian Railways Institutes Billiards and Snooker Annual Competition, for over 40 years. Ian himself is the usual winner of the ARI Individual Billiards Championship, having won it over 28 times.
I have personally seen Ian in action a number of times in the last 12 years at Victorian hosted competitions, and remain impressed with his patience, ability to perform consistently, and his organisational skills are fantastic! I congratulate Ian on his attitude to his chosen sport and his skill.”
