The World Health Organisation has announced that COVID-19 is a pandemic. Find out how they are monitoring and responding to the outbreak, how you can help slow the spread of COVID-19 in Australia, and what to do if you have symptoms. They also report the latest official medical advice and case numbers.
If you're feeling unwell, or need to isolate yourself at home, please don't visit our service centres. If you’re worried you may have coronavirus, call your doctor and let them know. You may also be able to either:
- contact your state or territory health authority about how to get tested
- ask your doctor about a telehealth appointment
- read the Department of Health's guide to isolating yourself at home.

Financial support for individuals during COVID-19
The Government has announced a $130 billion JobKeeper payment to help keep more Australians in jobs and support businesses affected by the significant economic impact caused by the Coronavirus.
Financial help if you’re between 22 and Age Pension age and looking for work. It’s also for when you’re sick or injured and can’t do your usual work or study for a short time. There are changes to claims and your obligations due to coronavirus (COVID-19). This includes changes to waiting periods, the income test, what you need to give us, and your obligations.
