Summer Ballot 2027

What are you doing this summer?

Peak summer at Jan Juc books out fast — so why not put your name in the hat for one of the most sought-after weeks of the year at the VRI's very own beach house?

Each year, our Summer Holiday Ballot gives members a fair shot at securing a week's stay at one of the best little spots on the Surf Coast — a benefit you won't find with any old discount card.

About the property Set at Jan Juc, the gateway to the Great Ocean Road and just 90 minutes from Melbourne along the Princes Highway, this is a comfortable, fully self-contained three-bedroom house that sleeps 6 — one double bedroom plus two rooms with twin single beds. Linen, bedding and towels are supplied. You're only minutes from the Jan Juc shops, the beaches and Torquay town centre, with Bells Beach a short walk away and the Surf Life Saving Club just down the road.

After a day of surfing, fishing, swimming or simply doing nothing at all, wander into Torquay for a drink and a counter meal. It's the kind of week you'll be talking about long after you've packed the car.

How the ballot works Submit your preferred weeks over summer, and a random draw decides who stays. Successful members are notified by 31 July. Bookings are one week only, Monday to Monday, built around the public holidays.
