Traralgon’s Iconic VRI Hall: A New Chapter Begins

After years of being leased by the Neighbourhood House, the VRI Traralgon is officially back in our hands! We are revitalising this historic rail asset and inviting members and the local community to make it their own again.

Whether you’re planning a grand celebration, a small meeting, or just want to reconnect with a piece of rail history, our doors are open.

Why Choose the VRI Traralgon?

We offer a versatile, high-capacity venue designed to suit everything from community theatre to exhibitions and everything in between.

  • The Main Hall & Stage: A grand, high-ceilinged space perfect for performances, workshops, or fitness classes.

  • Commercial Kitchen: A fully equipped, professional-grade kitchen ready to handle large-scale catering or community cook-ups.

  • Breakout Rooms (coming soon): Smaller, quiet spaces ideal for meetings, seminars, or craft groups.

  • The Gardens: Beautifully maintained outdoor areas for fresh-air breaks or garden-style events.

A Space with a Story

The VRI has always been more than just a building; it’s a hub of heritage. We are especially keen to hear from:

  • Past Members: If you have photos, stories, or memories of the hall from "back in the day," help us honour our history.

  • Local Organisations: Looking for a permanent or casual home for your club? Let’s talk about how the VRI can support you.
