What is the VRI Ambassador Program?

The VRI Ambassador program gathers our most loyal supporters to advocate for VRI and aims to;

• Empower VRI members.
• Revive the sense of VRI community.
• Open channels of communication between members, staff and Board.
• Increase member satisfaction and retention.
• Encourage new members by word of mouth.
• Create additional social activities.

VRI is seeking nominations for Ambassadors.

• Use your people skills to communicate with the VRI current or new members in your area.
• Make a difference and encourage your favourite local business and others to come on board the VRI program.
• Help encourage local businesses to offer discounts or benefits to fellow VRI members.
• Help promote member benefits, discounts, holidays and events.
• Engage with VRI staff and Board to ensure you have the support you need to do your role of a VRI Ambassador.

What you get!

• An annual, VRI donation ($300) to VRI event of your choice (e.g. sport team event, trivia night, fundraiser, family BBQ day, etc) at the end of your 12 month term.
• A feature in the VRI newsletter, as part of the ‘Ambassadors’ article.
• Dedicated Ambassador competitions – prizes up for grabs to win, to celebrate the success of regional centres, sports clubs and workplaces who help to sign up new members and program partners.
• Frequent contact with and support from head-office staff.
• VRI merchandise and giveaways.
• Opportunity to attend the AGM each year to ‘have your say’.

How we measure success?

• The VRI Ambassador program aims to promote the benefits of the VRI to new or potential members, therefore success will be monitored on new member referrals, new member offers and any business the ambassador may generate for a workplace, club or community centre.
• The appointed Ambassador will hold the position for a 12 month period.
• After this time the individual Ambassadors success will be reviewed and the individual may nominate to return for another 12 month period.
• All Ambassador positions will be at the discretion of VRI Management and Board and Ambassadors will be expected to uphold the values of the organisation in all dealings.
